Ian was my manager when I started work in 1969. I also know of the family as my grandma lived a few doors down from his mum and dad. I have fond memories of my time working with Ian, a man of good morals and values. He taught me a lot about discipline and doing things the right way, no doubt people who knew him know what I mean. He was strong and fair and will be missed. My regret is I will not be able to attend the funeral but on the day I will be saying a prayer for him and the family.
